About

‘She read books as one would breathe air, to fill up and live.’

My name is Fiona, and I am a 31 year old writer and reader, based in West Sussex. I started this blog after months of silently stalking other book blogs! I work in publishing, brand marketing, to be specific, and in my spare time I love to read and write. Fantasy fiction is my favourite thing – anything from Lord of the Rings, to fairy-tales, to Game of Thrones. If it’s set in another world, I’ll read it! I think maybe I live in another world most of the time! I also adore romance novels, and historical fiction. I am passionate about feminism and love to read books with strong female leads. I am a huge Harry Potter, Outlander and Doctor Who fan, and a proud Ravenclaw! There is nothing I enjoy more than cosying up with a hot cup of tea and getting lost in another world.

My favourite things: heavy rain and thunder, Fleetwood Mac, the smell of the sea, Debussy, forests, red-breasted robins, avocados, Harry Potter and lavender.

Currently reading: Time’s Convert by Deborah Harkness. Being swept up in the Hamilton-esque world of the American Revolution, except with vampires instead of rap music…
